Dell, Group Team To Fight Spyware

A big-name Internet safety organization and a big-name computer maker are the latest to launch a salvo against spyware.
The Internet Education Foundation and computer maker Dell are pointing people to a Web site that tells about the dangers of software that can cause sluggish computer performance or provide companies with the means to secretly monitor the activity of Internet users.There have been a growing number of assaults against spyware. Last week, the Federal Trade Commission filed its first federal court case over spyware.It has praised the new campaign undertaken by the Internet Education Foundation and Dell. And earlier this month, the House passed two bills against spyware.The anti-spyware resources, as well as tips on other ways to stay safe online, are found at GetNetWise.com.
