Riders get stuck on Mummy roller coaster at Universal Studios

Orlando Fire and Rescue officials help riders

ORLANDO, Fla. – Riders on the Revenge of the Mummy roller coaster at Universal Studios were assisted off the ride after it became stuck, according to authorities.

The incident occurred around 11:45 a.m. Monday. According to Universal spokesman Tom Schroeder, the ride had a minor glitch, causing the ride to malfunction. The ride stopped short of a platform, requiring some riders to be helped off by Orlando Fire and Rescue officials.

Officials said all the riders have been taken off of the ride and it is expected to be functioning again by 1 p.m.
