FHP Investigates Crash In Avalon Park

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A man walking with a friend was hit by a van and killed late Thursday night while walking in Avalon Park, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.The Florida Highway Patrol said 48-year-old William Rosado Guzman was walking along the shoulder of the westbound lane of Sunflower Trail when he was struck by the van.The driver then lost control of the van and went off the road, troopers said. Guzman's friend was not hurt.Troopers said the cause of the crash is under investigation, but alcohol does not appear to have played a role.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
