Crews to begin traffic shift at site of DeLand roundabout

Cars diverted to north side of intersection

DeLAND, Fla. – Crews will begin shifting traffic at the DeLand intersection where a roundabout is being built along State Road 44 at Grand Avenue.

The construction was ordered after a woman and her three grandchildren died in a fiery crash at the intersection in April.

Starting Thursday, crews will be shifting traffic to the north side of the intersection.

The roundabout project is expected to be completed by spring 2017.
