SANFORD, Fla. – A big rig driver was killed early Wednesday in a crash on Interstate 4 in Seminole County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The fatal crash happened around 1:30 a.m. near the ramp from westbound I-4 to U.S. Highway 17-92 near Sanford.

The FHP said the driver, whose name has not been released, was traveling west on I-4 at mile marker 104 when the tractor-trailer left the road for an unknown reason and struck a concrete barrier wall.

The big rig drove through a guardrail and overturned on the grass shoulder, troopers said.
