Detour begins on busy stretch of US 17-92

Detour to last several days

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Drivers in Orange County could run into a huge delays starting Thursday thanks to a detour on a busy stretch of road.

Crews will close all southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 17-92 between Park and Monroe avenues to repave the road. Lanes will be shut down from 7 p.m. Thursday until 6 a.m. Monday.

The Florida Department of Transportation crews recommend taking Maitland Boulevard to I-4 or Lake Avenue to Wymore Road as a detour. Both detours will reconnect with U.S. 17-92 at Lee Road. Drivers can access all businesses through side streets.

Another detour is set for Friday, February 19 at 7 p.m. through Monday, February 22 at 6 a.m.
