Orlando woman struck, killed while crossing road, FHP says

Troopers identify victim as Elizabeth Montevehci

BITHLO, Fla. – A vehicle struck and killed a 41-year-old Orlando woman late Sunday in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Elizabeth Montevehci died in the crash, which was reported at 10:46 p.m. on East Colonial Drive at Sandy Creek Lane near Bithlo.

The FHP said Montevehci was walking when she stepped into the path of a 2005 Honda Accord driven by a 24-year-old St. Johns woman.

Montevehci was pronounced dead at the scene, the FHP said.

Westbound lanes of Colonial Drive were closed in the area after the wreck.
