I-4 reopens after semi crashes in downtown Orlando

Highway shut down for hours after crash, fuel leak

ORLANDO, Fla. – Interstate 4 was shut down for hours early Thursday after a semi crashed in downtown Orlando. 

The crash happened in the eastbound lanes after police say the driver lost control, jackknifed and hit a concrete barrier.

Police say they encountered downed power lines and a fuel leak when arriving at the scene. 

It's still not clear what led to the crash. 

The highway was shut down for several hours but reopened just after 5a.m.
