'Known Travelers' Can Bypass Security At OIA

Airline passengers who submit iris and fingerprint scans at Orlando International Airport will be able breeze through security scans this week, according to Local 6 News.

  • OIA is the first U.S. airport to implement the pre-screening security program.

    Frequent fliers can enroll in the Registered Traveler program beginning Wednesday.

    Passengers registered as a "known traveler" will submit to a background check and iris scans.

    After submitting the information, passengers will be granted express access to the airport's security checkpoint and avoid the long lines and random inspections, Local 6 News reported.
