ORLANDO, Fla. -- Brevard County public schools will remain closed on Wednesday. Other school closings include:
Brevard Community College, all campuses during the day Wednesday. The campuses are scheduled to reopen at 5 p.m. for evening classes.
Florida Institute of Technology will closed today at 3 p.m. and will reopen at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
The University of Central Florida’s campuses in Cocoa, Palm Bay, West Orlando and Osceola will be closed on Wednesday. The university's main campus is scheduled to reopen Wednesday morning.

Brevard County government offices to remain closed
All Brevard County government offices closed Wednesday. All Brevard County Sherriff’s Office non-essential personnel do not report to work on Wednesday.

The causeways/bridges in Brevard County remain open and are not predicted to close.
Brevard County Health Department clinics and children’s medical centers closed at noon.
Brevard County south area and north area animal shelters are closed for the day.
Brevard County landfills will close at 1 p.m., and garbage will not be picked up after that time.
Space Coast Area Transit has announced that due to the increased weather deterioration and expected increase of winds, all fixed route bus service will stop at 5 p.m. today. Bus service for Wednesday will be determined later today. Questions should be directed to the Bus Information Line at 633-1878 (952-4672 for South Mainland residents).
Kennedy Space Center closes through noon Wednesday.

Palm Bay city offices closed Wednesday, garbage collection canceled
The city of Palm Bay will remain closed for business on Wednesday. All non-essential employees are not to report to work. All mission-essential personnel will remain in place and are continuing to monitor storm activity and are responding accordingly.
Also, garbage collection in the city of Palm Bay is canceled today because Brevard County landfills will close at 1 p.m.
Trash service for affected households will take place Thursday instead. In the meantime, city officials ask residents to move all garbage cans inside and away from the street.
Thursday’s regularly scheduled yard debris pick-up has been postponed until Aug. 28. YMCA at BCC closed Wednesday.
All activities at Cocoa YMCA Family Center at Brevard Community College will be canceled on Wednesday.
Keiser University closing through Thursday.
The Melbourne campus of Keiser University will be closed today at noon and will reopen Thursday.
Brevard courthouses closed.
Due to a change in the path of Tropical Storm Fay, court proceedings in Brevard County are canceled Wednesday. Please call 633-2171 Extension 3 for updates about court proceedings on Thursday and beyond.
Seminole County courts remain open.
Check airline flights at Melbourne airport
Delta passengers are being asked to check with the airline - www.delta.com - about the status of flights Wednesday.
Flights on Baer Air will resume Wednesday, weather permitting. Passengers should contact Baer Air directly for updated information at 321-453-2605 or 866-453-2605.
The Melbourne Airport Authority's regular monthly meeting, originally scheduled for Wednesday morning, has been rescheduled to 7:30 a.m. Aug. 27 at the airport. For additional information about the airport go to www.mlbair.com.
