SANFORD, Fla. -- A resident reported cracks in the sea wall at Lake Monroe that would put Sanford homes and businesses in danger of possible flooding, but city officials said the report is unconfirmed.
The resident said the two cracks formed in the St. Johns Estates area, where homes could be flooded if more cracks develop or if the wall gives way. If true, businesses along Seminole Boulevard could also be in jeopardy.
