Fay Disaster Center Opens In Seminole Co.

Tropical Storm Caused Flooding In Region

A disaster recovery center has opened for Seminole County residents and business owners who were affected by Tropical Storm Fay.

Crews from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the State Emergency Response Team will help staff the center in Stanford. It will operate daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

People who were affected by the storm can apply for disaster assistance at the center and get answers to questions about claims and disaster loans.

Fay, the sixth storm of the 2008 Atlantic season, caused flooding throughout Florida.
