Cloudy, gloomy day on tap for Central Florida

Chance of rain expected in Orlando area

ORLANDO, Fla. -

It will be cloudy, gloomy and a bit rainy Monday in Central Florida.

"There's a chance of rain on and off throughout the day -- about a 20 percent coverage area," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.

Temperatures will warm into the mid-70s in the Orlando area, but a cold front will arrive by Tuesday night, sending temperatures back into the 40s overnight.

Highs through Thursday will hover near 70 degrees, with lows warming from the mid-40s to 50 degrees as the week progresses.

After Monday, the next chance for rain in the Orlando area arrives on Saturday.
