Storms stream across Central Florida

Orlando to see highs near 90

ORLANDO, Fla. – It's going to be a wet week in Central Florida.

"We are pinpointing more afternoon storms every day this week," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.

Rain chances will be at 70 percent Monday, with a high of 93 degrees.

The chance of rain will also be 70 percent on Tuesday. Rain chances stand at 60 percent the rest of the week.

High temperatures will be near 90 degrees from Tuesday through Friday.

"On Sunday, we had a high of 92, nowhere near the record of 99, set in 1950," Bridges said.

The rain deficit is 9.44 inches since January 1.

"There's nothing to pinpoint in the tropics, and there won't likely be anything developing for the next five days," Bridges said.
