Central Florida storms could turn severe

Rain chances linger through week

Temperatures have made it well into the 90s Monday afternoon all over Central Florida.

The heat index has readings in the upper 90s and low 100s.

Scattered showers are starting to erupt Monday evening along the sea breezes.

Later in the evening, they will collide over Lake County. Some of the storms could turn severe. They will move to the west until they diminish after 10 p.m.

The low Monday night will drop to 73 in Orlando.

Tuesday will bring a high of 93 in Orlando and a lower chance of rain at 40 percent.

The rest of the week will remain hot, with highs of at least 90 and a 50 to 60 percent chance of rain each day.
