"We will be pinpointing storms through the afternoon as the east coast sea breeze pushes inland," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "The beaches will be mostly dry for the afternoon as inland areas will be dealing with strong winds, heavy rain and lightning."

Heavy downpours will also be concern for drivers on the way home later in the afternoon.

"Most of the scattered showers and storms along the sea breeze will move inland after 2 o'clock," Bridges said.

Afternoon high temperatures will be in the mid-90s for inland areas and about 90 degrees along the coast. The average afternoon high in Orlando is 91.

"The coverage of showers and storms will be high for the next several days as the sea breezes come together," Bridges said.

Expect the coverage of rain at 40 percent Monday and 60 percent for the rest of the week.
