Central Florida to see cool day

Temperatures expected to warm into 80s by weekend in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. – Spring arrived last week, but it will feel like winter Wednesday in Central Florida.

Overnight lows dipped into the 30s and 40s across the region, and the high temperature in Orlando on Wednesday will be in the 60s.

"Wednesday will be sunny, but really chilly. The high will be in the mid-60s," Local 6 chief meteorologist Tom Sorrells said.

The overnight low into Thursday morning will be 50 degrees.

A warmup begins as early as Thursday afternoon, with a high of 76 and a slight chance of rain.

"Friday we will return to the 80s, with a high of 81 and a 50 percent chance of rain," Sorrells said.

The high temperature on Saturday will be in the mid-80s, but there's a 50 percent chance of rain.

On Sunday, the high will be 81 and rain chances drop to 20 percent.
