ORLANDO, Fla. – Friday morning started a bit cooler than usual, but the Memorial Day weekend is going to be hot in Central Florida.
Temperatures started Friday in the 50s and 60s
"You may want to grab a light jacket heading out the door, but you won't need it for very long," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "We will be warming right to our average of 90 degrees, with no rain and lots of sunshine."
High temperatures will soar into the mid-90s from Saturday through Monday. Record temperatures are near 100.
"If you work in the heat, please drink lots of water, take frequent breaks and find the shade when you can," Bridges said.
There was a trace of rain Thursday in Orlando, which is about 8.5 inches below the average rainfall total for the year.
