Central Florida to see nice, breezy day

High temps to hit 83 for most areas

ORLANDO, Fla. – A nice, breezy day is set for Central Florida.

"We are pinpointing a strong east wind on Wednesday," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "The winds will gust near 25 mph off the ocean water, bringing on shore a couple of light showers."

Most areas will be dry, but there's a 10 percent chance of light sprinkles.

"That east wind will kick up through the afternoon and continue through part of the early evening hours," Bridges said.

Central Florida started off the day a little milder than the last couple of days.

"Rather than the 40s and 50s, temperatures are starting out in the 60s and 70s," Bridges said. "Afternoon high as will be right on target with the average of 83 in most spots."

Rain chances stay pretty much out of the picture across the board through the weekend, with afternoon highs near the average.

There are currently no weather systems in the tropics.
