Central Florida to see sunny, hot weekend

Rain chances in Orlando area increase next week

ORLANDO, Fla. – A hot weekend is on tap in Central Florida.

"After some sea breeze showers on Thursday, Friday will be drier as more dry air builds in," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.  "Rain chances are out of the forecast for most of the weekend."

Friday's high temperature in Orlando will be 88 degrees, with mostly sunny skies.

Saturday's high will be 89 degrees, and Sunday's high will be 90.

"Slight rain chances return on Sunday at only 10 percent, with mostly sunny skies," Bridges said.

Rain chances go up to 20 percent on Monday and Tuesday.

There will be a moderate risk for rip currents through the weekend at area beaches.
