"We are pinpointing a few afternoon showers and storms for Monday," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "Most of the afternoon rain will be along the sea breezes after 2 p.m."

Rain chances will be at 30 percent.

"Some of the storms will linger into after 9 o'clock," Bridges said. "If you're making afternoon and evening plans, make sure you grab the umbrella."

The coverage will not be widespread.

The high temperature in Orlando will reach 90 degrees. The average afternoon high on this date is 85.

Big changes in the forecast begin Tuesday.

"Rain chances will increase on Tuesday into Wednesday at 40 and 60 percent, respectively," Bridges said. "Those increased rain chances come as a front approaches Central Florida."

After the front passes, high temperatures will be in the low and mid-80s on Thursday and Friday.

"Expect dry conditions for the upcoming weekend, with high temperatures in the mid-80s," Bridges said.

Mother's Day will be sunny, with a high of 86 degrees.
