Central Florida will feel like summer for weekend

Temperatures to hit 90s in central areas

ORLANDO, Fla. – Saturday we get a preview of our summer weather to come.

Most of central Florida will hit the 90s Saturday with the exception of the coast, which will stay in the high 80s. This is above average temperatures for this time of year. Normal temperature is 85 degrees.

The area will have a slight chance of showers Saturday afternoon around the interior of Florida that could bring some brief, heavy rain and a little bit of lightning. Along the coast we are going to stay mostly dry with a few clouds pushing in later in the day.

It is a great day to hit the beach but make sure to stay hydrated. The UV index is also at a high so wear that sunscreen.

Saturday night will be warm with a low of 70 degrees and partly cloudy, with whatever rain we see Saturday afternoon moving out.

Sunday looks about the same as Saturday. Sunday's high is also 90 degrees with a slight chance of some showers but nothing heavy.

Next week our temperatures cool off just a bit and rain chances return. Tuesday has a 40 percent chance of rain, and the best day for heavy showers is Wednesday with a 50 percent chance.
