Christmas cooldown comes to Central Florida

Low temperatures to reach 30s, 40s across region early Wednesday

ORLANDO, Fla. – As a front moves through Central Florida on Tuesday, rain pushes out and temperatures stay steady.

High temperatures on Tuesday will reach 66 degrees in Orlando, 20 degrees cooler than Monday's record-high.  The old record was 85 degrees, which was set in 2011.

"Overnight on Christmas Eve, temperatures will drop into the 30s and 40s across Central Florida," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.

High temperatures will warm to 72, with sunny skies on Christmas Day.

Slight rain chances return for the end of the week.
