ORLANDO, Fla. – Cooler weather is one day away!
But first, Central Florida will see another warm day on Friday that started with a fog alert.
"With a low-level moisture in place, we are pinpointing dense fog across Central Florida," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "Visibilities have been below a quarter of a mile in many spots, mainly north and west of I-4."
Sunshine will burn the fog away by 9 a.m., Bridges said.
"We will see a front approach and move through Central Florida around 6 o'clock Friday evening," he said. "This front will come through dry, but will bring big changes to temperatures through the weekend."
Expect morning lows Saturday and Sunday in the 40s and 50s, with afternoon highs in the mid- and upper 70s across the region.
Rain chances will stay out of the picture for the next several days.
High temperatures will stay in the 70s through the beginning of next week, with morning lows starting in the 50s.
"Rain chances return minimally at 20 percent by the middle of next week," Bridges said.
Tracking the tropics
An area of low pressure north of the Bahamas will likely continue to move north, away from the United States.
The low has a 50 percent chance of further tropical development.
