Sea fog and low clouds spread into Lake County around 9 p.m. Monday and eventually farther east throughout the night, officials said.

NWS officials said satellite imagery and surface observations showed a bank of widespread sea fog and low clouds had spread onshore across much of western Florida, with visibility dropping to less than 1 mile.

The fog spread eastward into western sections of Orange, Seminole, Volusia and Osceola counties by midnight.

Those traveling through Tuesday morning's rush hour commute will likely encounter dense fog.
