ORLANDO, Fla. -

It's going to be wet in Central Florida leading up to the 4th of July, but it's possible that it will be dry for your fireworks celebration.

Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said rain coverage across the region on Tuesday will be 70 percent by late afternoon.

"Lots of moisture is streaming into Central Florida from the east and west," Bridges said.  "More than 2 inches of rain will fall in a short amount of time in many spots."

High temperatures will be below average at 88 degrees.  The average high in Orlando for July 2 is 91.

Overnight lows will be in the mid-70s.

Rain chances for Wednesday stand at 60 percent, with highs in the upper 80s.

The high temperature will warm to 93 by the 4th of July, and the chance for rain dips to 30 percent.
