Fall weather lingers in Central Florida

Highs in Orlando to reach low 80s for most of week

ORLANDO, Fla. – Another beautiful day is on tap in Central Florida.

"We have a another fall-like day is ahead for us on Sunday in Central Florida," News 6 meteorologist Madeline Evans said. "You will want to take advantage of this because we will begin to warm up a bit by Monday."

Orlando will reach a high of 78 degrees on Sunday, with no chance of rain.

"We won't have much cloud cover, so we'll have plenty of sunshine and winds coming from the northwest at 5-15 mph, possibly gusting up to 20 mph."

The beaches will be cool, with rough seas, Evans said.

"It's a good day to go out to the beach, but maybe not hop in the water," she said. "It will be 75 at Daytona Beach, so may be a little chilly and the seas are still rough. Seas will be up to 4 feet, with a moderate rip current risk, so I don't recommend getting in the water."

The overnight low early Monday will be 57 in Orlando under a mostly clear sky, with winds from the northeast at 5-10 mph.

"By Monday, we start warming up to the low 80s, but rain stays out of the picture," Evans said.

High temperatures stay in the low 80s for the rest of the week, with rain chances increasing to 20 percent by Friday.
