Heavy storms to hit Central Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. – Heavy storms are tracking into the evening on Thursday in Central Florida.

Rain coverage will be at 50 percent and most of the heavy storms slow down after sunset, Local 6 chief meteorologist Tom Sorrells said.

Look for the low in Orlando to drop to 74 degrees.

Friday the active weather pattern continues with storm chances of 50 percent and a high of 92 degrees.

Saturday and Sunday both look hot and stormy. The high Saturday will hit 93, Sunday will hit 94, and each day will have a rain chance of 30 percent.

Next week the summer weather continues with highs each day in the low to mid 90s and rain chances every afternoon.

For the next 5 days, the tropics are quiet.
