ORLANDO, Fla. - Chilly weather continued to cover Central Florida on Wednesday morning, but a warmup is on the way.
Temperatures dropped to cooler than normal, with a low of 37 degrees in Ocala. Orlando fell to 45 degrees overnight.
"Expect nearly full sunshine Wednesday afternoon, with highs averaging near 70," Local 6 meteorologist Julie Broughton said."
Overnight will be cool again, with a forecast low of 49 in Orlando.
"On Thursday, winds shift to the east and eventually southeast. That will allow temperatures to climb into the upper 70s," Broughton said.
Highs in the 80s are headed to Orlando for the weekend, along with a chance of showers.
"Looking ahead to Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, we could see a chance of rain, with highs in the 70s," Broughton said.
