Temps to feel like triple digits

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida's Sunday forecast is very similar to Saturday's.

Most of the interior parts of Central Florida will reach the 90s and the coast will reach the high 80s.

"With all the humidity mixed in, we could feel like we're back in the triple digits," News 6 meteorologist Madeline Evans said.

It will be partly cloudy throughout the day, and then rain chances will ramp up to 50 percent by 2 p.m. Most of the scattered showers will stay in the northern counties, and then the heavy thunderstorms will push in after 8 p.m. The storms will mostly be down the I-4 corridor and could contain heavy downpours and frequent lightning. They will last until about midnight to 1 a.m.

"It is another nice day for the beach if you get out there early," Evans said. "The high in Daytona will be 89 and the water temperature will be 78. Seas are going to 2 feet and there is a moderate rip current risk."
