"We will be pinpointing the east and the west coast sea breezes this afternoon," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "Expect a higher coverage of rain and storms, mainly after 2 o'clock."

The coverage of rain in Orlando and much of Central Florida will be at 60 percent for the afternoon drive.

"Some storms could be strong, with lightning, strong winds and very heavy rain in time for that drive home along I-4," Bridges said.

Rain chances will continue to be high through the weekend at 60 percent.

"The storm chances will be typical of summer, with sea breeze action every day," Bridges said.

Afternoon high temperatures will be a few degrees above the average across Central Florida. The average in most areas is in the low 90s.

"Expect a high of 93 on Tuesday in Orlando, with feel-like temperatures well into the triple digits," Bridges said.

Afternoon high temperatures will remain in the low and mid-90s through the end of the week.

"The Fourth of July will be as hot as a firecracker, with natural fireworks into the afternoon next Monday," Bridges said. "Rain chances will be at 40 percent."
