Hot, sunny Memorial Day weekend ahead for Central Florida

No rain expected for holiday weekend

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida is in for a scorcher of a weekend.

Orlando will reach a high of 94 degrees Saturday, with sunny skies throughout the day.

"The good news is that there's less moisture in the atmosphere, so that means little to no cloud cover, and no rain to worry about for your entire holiday weekend," News 6 meteorologist Madeline Evans said. "If you are headed to the beach, make sure you bring plenty of water and lots of sunscreen."

Daytona will reach a high of 87 degrees, with the water temperature sitting at 78 degrees. The UV index is high and there is a moderate rip current risk.

"Tonight we will get a little break, cooling down to 65 under a clear sky, with wind coming from the south at 5 mph," Evans said.

Sunday will be about the same, with a high of 94 degrees under a sunny sky and without rain.
