More rain, storms forecast for Central Florida

Cooler temperatures arrive in Orlando area later in week

More rain is expected in the Orlando area.

ORLANDO, Fla. – More storms are expected in Central Florida on Tuesday, and cooler temperatures are headed our way.

Tuesday's high will be near 90 degrees in Orlando.

"Rain chances will stick around through the afternoon at 40 percent," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "There will be a few thunderstorms through the afternoon drive time."

Rain chances dip to 30 percent Tuesday evening.

"A new front moves in on Wednesday evening, increasing rain chances to 70 percent," Bridges said. "Because of the added rain and clouds  we will only warm to 84."

Rain chances are out of the picture by Thursday, with high temperatures in the low 80s. The overnight low will hit 58 degrees.

Friday's high will be in the upper 70s.

"We will continue to be dry through Mother's Day weekend, with highs in the low and mid-80s on Sunday," Bridges said.

Rain chances will stick around through the afternoon on Tuesday at 40%.

Early morning rain led to slick roads across Central Florida on Tuesday. There will be a few thunderstorms through the afternoon drive time at 5 o'clock.

Rain chances will be at 30% for your evening plans after 7 o'clock.

A new front moves in on Wednesday evening increasing rain chances to 70% by then.

Because of the added rain and clouds on Wednesday we will only warm to 84°.

Rain chances are out of the picture by Thursday With temperatures in the Low 80s.

We will continue to be dry through the end of the weekend Mother's Day weekend with highs in the low and mid 80s for Mother's Day.
