National Weather Service confirms 2 tornadoes in Central Florida

Tornadoes touch down during severe weather

ORLANDO, Fla. – The National Weather Service confirmed that two tornadoes touched down Friday night during a wild round of severe weather in Central Florida.

Several viewers sent videos and photos of funnel clouds spotted in Osceola and Orange counties.

One viewer's photo captured a twister at Orlando International Airport.

The tornado near OIA didn't cause any damage, but a tornado near Buenaventura Lakes tossed debris and damaged homes and a pool enclosure.

No injuries were reported.

Another round of strong storms is expected Monday in Central Florida.

Despite the recent rain, Orlando remains more than 10 inches below the average amount of rainfall for the year.
