Off-and-on rain forecast in Central Florida

Cold front drops temperatures in Orlando area

ORLANDO, Fla. – Cooler temperatures arrived in Central Florida on Tuesday, and there's a chance of rain in the region.

A day after the high temperature in Orlando reached 85 degrees, temperatures will warm to 76 Tuesday afternoon as a cold front pushes through.  The average high is 78 degrees.

"Rain chances will be on and off at 30 percent for Tuesday afternoon and evening," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.

The chance of rain remains at 30 percent Wednesday.  There's a 20 percent chance on Thursday.

Temperatures will be in the low 80s for the end of the week into the weekend.

The 13th named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season formed Monday, but Tropical Storm Melissa will stay away from land.
