Rainy season to begin May 27

ORLANDO, Fla. – The chance for rain is finally expected to increase Monday, News 6's Danny Treanor said.

The greatest chance for rain will be Monday night and Tuesday, and once again on Thursday. The chance of rain will peak out at 40 percent.

In the meantime, some spotty showers occurred Sunday.

"The showers weren't significant, but were the beginning of a trend toward more showers," Treanor said.

Lots of clouds were around Sunday, keeping temperatures down a bit. A strong breeze also made for a very tropical day. Increasing humidity is another factor for producing more showers.

"Rainy season usually begins on May 27," Treanor said. "Fire risk remains high. Please be careful."
