"Energy has moved out to sea and away from Florida," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.  "Sea breeze storms will develop and push a 30 percent coverage of rain and storms to Flagler, Volusia and Brevard counties, mainly after 2 o'clock in the afternoon."

The big weather story for the next few days will be the heat, Bridges said.

"With lower rain chances and more sun, Central Florida will have more time to warm well above the average of 92 degrees," added Bridges.

High temperatures will warm to 96, with a heat index of 105 degrees at times on Monday.

The record high for Orlando is 101 degrees, set in 1916.

High temperatures will reach 97 degrees by Wednesday, with rain chances at 30 percent for Thursday and 40 percent into the weekend.

High temperatures will be in the mid-90s for the weekend.

"We're also tracking an area of low pressure way out in the Atlantic, southwest of the Cape Verde Islands," said Bridges, adding that it currently has a 30 percent chance of tropical development over the next five days.
