Sea breeze to push storms east to west across Central Florida

Orlando to see high in low 90s

ORLANDO, Fla. – Parts of Central Florida will see more rain on Thursday.

"We will once again be pinpointing the east coast sea breeze later in the afternoon," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. Storms will push from east to west along I-4. Storms could be strong to severe, with the main threat being heavy rain and lightning."

Sixty percent of the region will see rain, mainly after 2 p.m.

"The beaches will be dry through the afternoon as most of the rain pushes over to central and then western zones," Bridges said.

Before the rain, temperatures will reach the low 90s. The average afternoon high on this date in Orlando is 91.

"On Wednesday, we made it up to 87, with only a trace of rain in Orlando. That puts our rain deficit at 9.87 inches since January 1," Bridges said.

Currently, there are no concerns in the tropics.
