"Tonight relief will arrive with showers and thunderstorms developing along the Sea Breeze collision. The line of development will set up in western Orange County along the Lake County line," said News 6 Chief Meteorologist Tom Sorrells. "Scattered showers were developing on the sea breeze now. In the next few hours the east coast sea breeze and the west coast sea breeze will collide."

Some pockets could be quite heavy with winds up to 50 mph, Sorrells added, with the showers lingering until midnight.

The low temperature will drop to 70 before sunrise.

The weather on Tuesday looks active with a high of 90 and rain chances at 40 percent, according to Sorrells, with the heaviest showers tomorrow look to be north of Orlando.

"Wednesday the cold front arrives, we have more showers, then we clear up and cool down," Sorrells said. Look for the high on Wednesday to be 82 with more widespread rain.

Thursday is Cinco de Mayo- the high will be 82 degrees and the sun will shine all day. Friday will be even cooler with a high of 79 and no rain.

Saturday we hit a high of 83 with plenty of sunshine, Sorrells said.

Mother's Day Sunday will be sunny and warmer with a high of 86.
