Slight chance of rain remains along Central Florida's coast

First cold front of season to make its way here next week

ORLANDO, Fla. – After some early-morning rain Saturday, showers have been mostly to the south of Central Florida, but the threat of rain remains in the forecast at 20 percent along the coast.

Strong winds off the ocean will cause some sea showers to be a concern for Saturday night through Monday.

"By Tuesday, rain chances bump up as the first cold front of the season approaches," News 6 weather anchor Danny Treanor said.

There will be a 60 percent chance of rain Tuesday and a 50 percent chance Wednesday.

Some cooler air is also likely to make an appearance due to the lack of sunshine next week,

"We'll see clear to partly cloudy skies tonight, with lows ranging from 73 in Orlando to 68 in Ocala and 75 in Palm Bay," Treanor said.

Rain chances will increase again to 30-40 percent Sunday. The highest chance of rain will be in the interior. Temperatures will range from 89 degrees in Orlando, 87 degrees in Melbourne and 85 degrees in Daytona Beach.

"Keep your poncho handy for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, as rain chances remain high," Treanor said.
