Storms, heat to hit Central Florida

High temps to reach mid-90s Friday

Friday will be a hot and stormy day for Central Florida as the high temperature reaches 94 with rain coverage at 50 percent.

Local 6 will be tracking storms into the afternoon beginning around noon. Stronger storms will make their way from the interior to the coast by early evening.

Most storms will wrap up around 9 p.m. and then expect a pleasant overnight. The low temperature for Friday night will be 76 degrees.

Looking at the weekend, Saturday will see more rain with a high of 95. Rain chance will be 50 percent. There will be less showers on Sunday with a high of 95.
