ORLANDO, Fla. – Strong storms are possible Monday in Central Florida.

"We are pinpointing our typical summer pattern of sea breeze storms after 2 o'clock," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "Rain chances will be up to 60 percent on Monday and Tuesday.
Afternoon storms could be strong, with winds up to 40 mph as well as lightning and heavy rain, mainly for the drive home.
High temperatures in the Orlando area will be near 90 degrees. The average high for this time of year is 89.
Fall officially arrives Thursday with the autumnal equinox.
"Our typical summer pattern will not end, even though fall arrives," Bridges said. "Expect sea breeze storms every day through the weekend."
Tracking the tropics
"We are watching the latest on Tropical Storm Karl, and the latest track keeps it away from Florida," Bridges said.
Meanwhile, Julia is no longer a tropical system.
"In fact, it is a post-tropical cyclone, still bringing rain to parts of the Carolinas," Bridges said.
There is a disturbance out in the open Atlantic that has an 80 percent chance of development over the next five days.
