Hot, humid Sunday ahead for Central Florida

Changes to come in week ahead

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida has another hot and humid day ahead of it.

Temperatures in Orlando  Sunday will be a bit cooler than Saturday's temperatures, with a high of 89 degrees and very high humidity. The winds will kick up again from the east southeast at 10-15 mph, gusting as high as 25 mph.

"There is a 10 percent coverage of rain that we mostly saw this morning," News 6 meteorologist Madeline Evans said.

Most of Central Florida will stay completely dry for the last day of April.

"If we do make it through today with no measurable rain in Orlando, we will have made it through this month completely dry for the first time since 1896," Evans said.

Sunday night will reach a low of 70 degrees under a partly cloudy sky with winds up to 15 mph.

There will be some changes for the week ahead.

"Every day next week, you will see at least a 30 percent coverage of rain, with the biggest chance being Tuesday at 50 percent."
