Saturday's temps to become more pleasant as evening approaches

Fire danger remains high

ORLANDO, Fla. – "It may feel like July or August, but the calendar still says April," News 6's Danny Treanor said.

The heat is on in Central Florida, with every area hitting the 90s Saturday, except in coastal areas where ocean breezes kept the temperatures down.

"Additionally, a constant and sometimes gusty wind has not helped, causing a blast of hot air in your face," Treanor said.

Once the sun goes down, temperatures will be a bit more pleasant, but the winds will continue to be gusty. Saturday night lows will range from 70 degrees in Ocala to 72 degrees in Orlando and 73 degrees in Palm Bay.

Some relief will come as temperatures cool down a bit Sunday. Highs will range from 83 degrees in Daytona Beach, 86 degrees in Melbourne and 89 degrees in Orlando. There will also be a 20 percent chance of rain.

The week ahead will offer a few more chances for rain, especially by Tuesday and again on Friday, but the fire danger remains very high.
