Tree topples on home in Daytona Beach

Rain falls across Central Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida residents are dealing with the cleanup from storms on Tuesday as rain continued across Florida.

A water oak tree fall on a home on Kottle Drive in Daytona Beach, caused by the same storm that toppled airplanes on Monday night. As the storm tracked east, it produced downburst winds around 65-70 miles per hour.

The woman who lived at the home was unaware of the tree falling on her home, according to her neighbors.

 "She thought it was noise from the generator from the power going out," said neighbor Dana Hamilton.

Overnight lows in Central Florida will be in the upper 50s.

The high temperature on Wednesday will reach 77 degrees under sunny skies.

Highs will be in the low to mid-80s through the weekend.
