ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Central Florida’s food scene has grown in recent years and many of our favorite restaurants are choosing to play off of one another’s success.
Jeff’s Bagel Run and Pigzza recently came together to collaborate on a couple of menu items using ingredients from both businesses.
“Being able to use some of their ingredients and some of our ingredients just made for a really special bagel,” said Jeff’s Bagel Run Co-Owner Danielle Perera.

Jeff’s Bagel Run has quickly become a Central Florida staple, but Perera said their journey is far from an overnight success story.
“It was definitely a grind but on the flip side of that, I mean, the joy our customers have and you can see on their face and the families that come in, that’s really what pushes us and keeps us going and wanting to keep growing and just building that community of bagel fans,” Perera said.

Perera said a big part of their success comes from getting creative with their menu, like their recent collaboration with Pigzza to create temporary menu items such as the Pigzza Pizza Bagel.
“It was just coming up with the right mix and we ultimately went with the Pigzza pepperoni which is their sauce, our cheese, and pepperoni and it’s divine,” Perera said. “Then they took all of their recipes and just used our bagel as the base, and then we decided to do a chimichurri cream cheese which was divine.”
Perera said the Orlando food community is more collaborative rather than it is competitive.
“I think that is part of why we choose to collaborate with the people that we do,” Perera said. “We’ve done a couple of different things in the past and we really want to find business owners that align with our values and focus on community and joy, and I think those are the businesses that that thrive.”
