FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – Takes one email to get my attention and that is what has happened today. I have been looking for a reason to come explore Flagler County, and Susan is making that happen.

Susan writes, “The intersection is RT. 100 going east towards the beach with Old Kings Rd in Flagler County. To make a right turn into Old Kings on a red, one must go through the stoplight. I really wanted to know since if I don’t do it and wait for green, cars behind me honk crazily. Just a day ago, I called the Flagler County Sheriff office. This turn worries me. I was told right on red was permissible. I was also told that view is usually impeded by other vehicles in my left lane to see what might be passing through the intersection with the green light on Old Kings Rd. so, use extreme caution. If I didn’t make the turn on red, I would be impeding other vehicles from making the turn. I wish it was designated no right on red. I hope this describes the location exactly. I would be very interested in Trooper Steve’s opinion if he is interested.

Thank you again for responding”

Rather than us use a map and talk about it from 70 miles away, let’s use today’s Trooper Steve On Patrol to tackle this intersection. Watch the full video at the top of this story.
