WEKIWA SPRINGS, Fla. – A family and their pets are safe after a house fire Saturday morning in Wekiwa Springs, according to the Seminole County Fire Department.

Firefighters responded around 9:30 a.m. to Suzanne Way, the fire department said on social media.

Three dogs and a cat were rescued from the fire, with photos shared by the fire department showing the cat receiving oxygen via a special pet-sized mask.

No injuries were reported, the post states.

While the cause of the fire is still under investigation, the post stated the majority of the fire appeared in the home’s air handler and extended to its roof.

The American Red Cross of Central Florida was contacted, the fire department said.
