Brittany Harris

Brittany Harris joined the WKMG news team as a Reporter in June of 2016.

Brittany was born and raised in northeast Ohio and graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism from Columbia College in Chicago. During her time in the Windy City, she interned for WMAQ-TV, WBBM-TV, KISS-FM and Bill Kurtis Productions.

Before moving to Orlando, the award winning journalist spent three years working for WJW-TV in Cleveland, Ohio. Prior to that, she was a Statehouse Reporter for WCIA-TV in Springfield, Illinois and an Anchor and Reporter for WHIZ-TV in Zanesville, Ohio.

She has always taken a special interest in political, health, and investigative stories. Back in 2011, she won an Ohio AP Award for Best Investigative Reporting. Her story uncovered how criminals in Zanesville were taking advantage of the early release program at the city jail.
When she isn't reporting, she enjoys spending time with family, friends and her cat Miles. She's never lived outside of the mid-west, so she's looking forward to exploring all that Central Florida has to offer. She is also determined to scuba dive in the Keys at some point!
