Fisher-Price recalls infant seats over fire hazard

65,000 Soothing Motion Seats recalled

MIAMI – Fisher-Price is recalling thousands of its Soothing Motion Seats for infants due to possible fire hazards.

About 65,000 seats are being recalled in the U.S. and Canada. The seats were sold at Amazon, Toys R Us, Walmart, Target and may other stores between Nov. 2015 and Oct. 2017.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reports Fisher-Price has received 36 reports of the seats overheating. One seat caught fire inside the motor housing.

No injuries have been reported.

The Fisher-Price Soothing Motions Seats with the following model numbers have been recalled:

  • CMR35
  • CMR36
  • CMR37
  • DYH22
  • CMR39 (Smar Connect Soothing Motion Seats)

Consumers who own the product are urged to stop using the seats immediately and contact Fisher-Price for a full refund.
